Is there an address for your restaurant? Will definitely be making a visit up your way this year. Thanks for the help.

Susie's in Red Bud, just a few miles from the back gate. They are closed on Sunday and Monday and close at 8 PM the rest of the week BUT they have the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. It is a true family restaurant as the whole family works there. Very nice folks and they always have a special for dinner.

    I noticed a previous poster mentioned Lolly's.

I ate breakfast there every day of the Grands in '08, '09 and '10 and really thought it was good food for not a lot of money.

Lunch was "okay" but nothing special.

Dinners, OTOH, were not very good. I had their Rib specials at least once every year and, amazingly, they got worse each time. I tried some other entrees and was similarly unimpressed.

But, it's a great place for breakfast.

Bob thats easy to understand breakfast is the easiest meal to get right, if they cant make a good breakfast then more than likely they wont have a snowballs chance in He!! doing lunch or dinner.

Tequila's Mexican Restaurant in Sparta across from the Wal-mart is very good and very reasonable. They have daily $5 lunch specials. I've been told the Margaritas are good also. We are from St.Louis so we drive over each day so I refrain from the alcoholic beverages until the kids are all home safe.

Looking forward to the Shot House.

Also, not too far away is Pioneer's Cabin. What a place, something like 25 pies to select from to finish off the meal.

    Anxious to get there.
