Fluxing lead shot

    I would like to hear what you folks are useing for fluxing the molten lead and where you purchase it.

    I just use a little bit of bullet lube.

    Beeswax, I get it free from a friend that keeps bees.

    Marvelux used to be the top choice for casual lead casting. There are commercial flux agents that are available. Wax works, but the commercial stuff does a real good job.

    Radator soidering flux just a drop or to in the laddel then skim off the top.

    You can also just slice off a piece of candle, although beeswax works a little better.......
