It will one year tomorrow that we suffered a major flood at our club and it looks like we are in for another flood this year. The Loosahatchie river backed into our club at the beginning of this week and shut all shooting down. The water has gone down and now we are preparing for more water as the MS river is going up. This year we had some warning about the rising river and we were able to locate all our machines to high ground. We have suffered no major loss at this time. We have brought in two over the road trailers and are prepared to load them with targets and office equipment along with our shop equipment and move them to a safe location. All scheduled matches are on hold at this time. We have the Mid South Open trap shoot scheduled for May 14 & 15 and we are hoping this shoot will go on as scheduled. This is the shoot we had to cancel last year. My hat is off to the guys that work at the club this year for taking care of our equipment and assets. At the present time we can shoot trap on three fields and skeet on three fields. Sporting Clays is down along with 5 stand. The rifle and pistol ranges are open. If you plan on shooting with us you might want to call ahead for the next couple of weeks. Bill Hardison Memphis Sport Shooting
