I am planning on buying a new butt pad for my BT to replace the factory Browning one, and am wondering what it takes to fit a new pad to the gun. With the shooting season about 2 weeks away, I don't exactly have time to send it to someone and have them grind it for me. Plus, I'd like to learn how to do it myself. So, any suggestions or pointers? (pad will most likely be a Kick-Eez or Gooey) Thanks, Josh.

Rebel, what kind of pad and how thick is it? Thanks, Josh.

You can do it. I would put a couple of layers of masking tape on your wood so it doesn't get scared. A sharp awl is important. After the grinding, steping the grit down from maybe 60, 80, 100...finish off by hand with some fine paper 200 or so.
