Soon, the lakes will be cleared of ice and I can enjoy Sunday early morning and late evenings fishing the local lakes for Pike, Bass, Cappy and Perch. I'm real excited because I just ordered a new outboard (sold my Honda 8hp) to put on my 14' aluminum. This is the first new motor that I've purchased since 2001 and I really am looking forward to it.

It's a Mercury 15hp 4 stroke. I've rented them on several occasions up in Canada and have been very impressed. It's actually made by Tahatsu (Johnson and Evenrude are made by Suzuki, which I never liked) and has some very nice features.

    <a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v712/Tronspace/?action=view&current=Mercury-15-hp-outboard-large.jpg" target="_blank">[IMG]</a>

    Happy fishing season to all!

YUCK! I don't want to hear any boat motors. I like the peacefulness of walking out into the water or fishing from the banks with my flyrod. When I'm on the water, it's with a canoe.

Come over from the dark side, Tron!

Tron, based on your post here at T.S. I didn't think that you let things like "season" factor in to your fishing expeditions!

I shoot, I just got back from Lake Eufaula and had a nice stringer as well. I still love to bass fish but enjoy catching specks as well. I get to go every other week on Wednesday and come home on Sunday. I work two days a week to pay for gas traveling back and to. LOL That was a nice stringer, do you catch them on jigs pitching at the bank? I have one boat set up for trolling if they are not at the bank. Jackie B.
