FISHING REGULATIONS AT THE GRAND

    When you get on the Grounds stop by the 510 Office (that is where Chris Hespen and the IDNR staff work out of) They will have the regs for you. Then walk next-door to J&J Guns and pick up your fishing licence. I believe you can by a pass that will cover the period that you are on the grounds.

    ALF27:

    A 10 day non-resident license is $13 or $24.50 for the current year. Other regulations (minimum fish size, catch limits, etc.) are site specific and available from IDNR office on premise.

    FISHING

    On-site fishing is the newest recreational opportunity available at the Complex.

    East Lake is located on the northeast side of the Complex on a 117 acre strip pit and Derby Lake located to the southeast of the Events Center. Each are loaded with Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Bluegill, Redear, Channel Cat, Trout, and White, Black and Hybrid Crappie.

    The addition of the boat ramps and fishing docks will make this area very popular among anglers and another way for visitors to spend their day at the Complex.

    Fishing Regulations:

    All Fish - 2 Pole and Line Fishing Only
    Largemouth or Smallmouth Bass - 18 Inch Minimum Length Limit, 1 Fish Per Day
    Bluegill or Redear Sunfish - 15 Fish Per Day
    White, Black, or Hybrid Crappie - 10 Inch Minimum Length Limit, 10 Fish Per Day
    Channel Catfish - 6 Fish Per Day

    Derby Lake - Electric Motors Only
    East Lake - 10 Horsepower Limit
    RV Lake - Electric Motors Only

    Ed, Heard of some nice channel and blue catfish caught. 5-6 pound range. Also 1-3 pounders. Good eatin'
