I finaly have a K-Gun, Iltartech was SUPER in putting together some parts he had on here for me and created what I feel is a beauty at a fair price.
He was honest as the day is long and I can't thank him enough.
Yeah, it's not a matching recvr and barrel, but both are like new...
Off to Ottsville Wed. to have barrel fitting checked and an Annual done.

    thanks Iltartech

Gorgeous looking gun and you'll soon be changing your screen name. Jeanine is the greatest at K-Intl. I'll be there personally one day this week!!

    Sam,

Jeanine says your quite a guy. I stopped in today and it was just like homecoming with Deiter, Betty, Braxton (the real brains of the operation-along with Jeanine), Donnie, the greatest group of gunsmiths around, new employees, old employees-a tremendous family all.

I'm quite sure you were well taken care of!!

Why do Krieghoff's need an annual? What do they do? What does it
cost? Cheaper than a Rolex annual?

Sky Buster, They don't. Just a waste of money. K guns do not require any more maintenance than any other gun. Just like the guy that owns a Rolex, Makes your
muscles bigger? I have owned a few of them they are just as good and better than a lot of other guns. Same as buying a Porsche.

The gun was used ( a 1969 I found out while there) and even though it's like new, I wanted to make sure there were no issues with it..( and needed a barrel fitted, so I was going down anyhow)
As this is my first Krieghoff, and I am not an expert, but "The Annual" consisted of replacing all the springs, firing pins, checking head space, polishing the breech face, checking ejector & cocking timing and gawd knows what all else..
    It's a bit more for a K-32 than a K-80 and was around $275.00 (If I remember correct)?

And they give you all the old parts..( what would they cost to buy as spares ?)

I am sure I will not be doing it every year...but I do not know of any other Gun anymore that you can have the Factory Rep go through it in 3 hrs while you wait...I have shot Browings, 3200's & 1100's the last 30 years. I just wanted one.
Ottsville is only 4 1/2 hours for me, so it was a no brainer...

Pc of mind for me I guess
    Sam

ps. It didn't do anything for MY muscles except make my backside ones
a bit sore from 552 miles in the truck....
