The following is our first Blazer Shotgun. It is for Bill McGuire (sporting clays shooter)who has recently switched from a K gun to the Blazer. Bill came to the shop in December and we built this trial stock for Bill to start getting the gun to feel right. The gun has a DeVault Custom stock, Delrin add-on rib, and the chokes are by Comp-in-Choke. I hope that Bill does well with this new set-up and we look forward to working on his new "signature series" gun later this year. Bill asked us for an oil finish and this is our first attempt at an Oil poly-urethane finish. It has a satin look but the poly sets-up hard and we are curious to see how the finish will hold up under extended use. This oil type finish is a first for us. Thank you again for taking a look.

Dennis nice looking stock. Did you still use the in stock balance system? Also do you remember what length barrel?

What will the "signature gun" consist of?

    Thanks, Bob

Quite a change for McGuire. He had been shooting his K-80 fairly well last year. Wonder if he didn't like the new K-80 Sport?

Would someone esplain the "stock balance system"? Eh? Thanks.

And yes Dennis, nice verk. Mucho nice. I particularly like the "workman-like" wood. Just enough to be classy, but not so flashy that it takes over the gun. Would you mind putting a name on the product that you used in finishing it to the "oil poly-urethane" you refer to?

    Thanks. Jack
