At first I agreed when just reading the article.

    But read the actual statute.

Example- someone posts a doctored picture of you and a little girl doing something you shouldnt be doing--- that is now a crime.

Is that a bad thing that it is a crime to do that?

The Judge has several duties in this situation before granting the warrant. Hopefully he fullfilled this duty.

    Regards from Iowa

I don't think any reasonable person could possibly equate political satire with an altered pornographic image of a parent and child.

Brian- you dont know what the judge saw- the only thing you know is what the one side says. That is my point.

    The Judge is the Gatekeeper.

If you look at the actual law you would think the judge had have been persuaded that the burden had been met.

You have to remember where Renton is located.

Its just a suburb of Seattle, wet side of the state! Home of "most" of the liberals in the state.

They pass laws just to pass laws in this state. They believe it show's everyone in the rest of the state they are "working" for the people.

There are a lot of bad LEO in this state, but they have a strong union that can beat back any IA attempt at getting rid of them.

Public servants having a cartoon made about their bad behavior is NOT a action deserving a felony charge.

It should have been thrown out, but hey, our governor was proven a "loser" but a judge gave her the election!!

I had a good experience with the historian at the Washington State Patrol.

I got very interesting information about my WSP surplused Model 12 Riot.

"Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be
much easier to deal with." ('Atlas Shrugged' 1957)

Harbinger of our Future. If only her stories didn't all have such totally improbable endings. From those according to Ability, to those according to Need would be the Democraps campaign slogan if she hadn't already shown the logical conclusion to that type of Social Engineering. Damned shame most people don't have the attention span or desire to read a 800+ page novel that deals with our Social Problems. On the other hand, after the $h!+ hits the fan, they can all read Anthem's 100 pages(if her books are not banned) and say, "Someday, after I grow a pair, that's what I'm gonna' do".
