My oldest son, 16, finally got that elusive 100 straight yesterday. He has been shooting for 6 years with many 25's,50's, 75's and even a couple of 98's and 99's. On Friday at the SCTP Nationals he carded a 23-25-23-25 for a 96 on the first 100 on a very windy day. Saturday, while I was watching one of our other squads, he shot a 25-25-25-25 for that 100 straight.

Remington 1100 Classic Trap and 1-1/8 oz. #8 Nobleports.

    Great job, kid!!!!

Wingmaster -Congratulation to your son. An amazing feat to accomplish at an early age.
Now, tell him to just keep doing the same thing...

Congrats to your son!!!...Our shooting buddy Ron Zimmerman from Md was at Oxford gun club in Pa Thursday night and his grandson who is 17 and just a very casual infrequent fun shooter...did all his first straights of 25-50-75-100 in the same evening...I had the pleasure to witness it and personally laid a murderous shot on his hat tossed in the air...it was an unwearable mess but he wore the parts proudly..and I doubt his granpa will ever get that Browning XS back any time soon.....Love to see the young ones succeed!! The hook has been set ; ))

Great job and a great time to pull that off being at the SCTP Championships. As others have stated, I'm sure this will be one of many accomplishments in his future. I bet nothing could peel that smile off both his and your faces.

Fantastic!! There is nothing better than kids shooting well. Please pass on our congrats to him, and to you as well--chances are the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I hope he got a patch? If not let us know and we'll pop one in the mail.

    Coach & Calamity

PS We love those 1100's for kids, what a super gun.

Thanks, everyone for your kind words.

It was quite a day. Ever since he got his first 25 straight, I have not been able to watch him shoot. Whenever he is in competition, I busy myself with a different squad, so as not to jinx the run.

Must be something in the air because last week I got my first 100 straight too! It is nice to have that monkey off the back now! The funny thing is only about 2 months ago I shot my first 50 straight.
