A friend called, one of his friends had a garage fire with his gun safe in it & it got pretty hot & guns where damaged.
He was asking for info on starting the clean up & restoration process.
He said model 12 oil finish stocks appeared to just need cleaned & reoiled.
Remington stocks were blistered, I figure they need refinished.
My only advise at this point was to clean parts with simple green & get some oil on them.
I would apperciate any other info that you trap shooters could provide to us.
I will not be able to go see the damage & help with the clean up until Sunday a.m. so until them I can not provide any additional info.
    Thanks in advance Danny Hutton

A thorough cleaning ASAP Danny. It's the smoke that does the damage. Good luck, hope he didn't lose too much.
