I sometimes get complaints about the loudness of my Beretta 682 30 inch ported barrels. Can the ports be filled in? Thanks in advance.

Probably not, at least not easily.

But the pathetic whiners can be told to go pound sand; it IS a shotgun fer cryinoutloud!

Not a chance I'd even THINK of spending one penny to cater to any of them.

Never clean them, they will fill in. Sometimes a big chunk might sail out but it will fill again.

Actually, I think someone like 3M could easily come up with an adhesive back bbl formed metal plate to cancel out the ports. Pull off the backing, stick it over the holes and no more ports.

Shotgun blasts will be 150db or more. Standing beside a ported gun adds to that. Earplugs may give 30db of protection if one is lucky. So that exposes the guy shooting practice or games next to you to 120db or more. Potentially dangerous levels. I don't think anyone is being a "panty waist" for complaining about that.

Easy...find less whiny squadmates...porting is part of the game ....next thing you know they'll be crying because your glossy stock finish blinds them

    Hey Larry:

Because your squad mates complained I would add more ports.

If this is the same gun that you were shooting at the Grand this year I can honestly say that it did not bother me or anyone else on our squad. I would not worry about it to much!
