With the start of the new shoot year, how do you figure your average? Carry over your average from the previous year and add any new scores? Or simply start with any new socres? Fred

Yeah, I figured this out this morning. I shot at the Tri State this past weekend, won Class C on Sat with a 97, then shot a 95 and 93 the following day. A 95 for 2010, yikes, that's Class A. Oh well, it is a game of perfection. Too bad my buddy, the other Mr. Black is not doing so well. He'll get 'er back though.

If you have only shot 200 targets in the 2010 target will your average of only those two events determine your new average or do you have to shoot a certain number of targets before changing to the new average?

Walt: rejoined at Oak Tree and shot a 98 and won class B. Had a 93 average in 2008. Only shot singles so my new 2010 target year average should place me at A or AA. To bad my 93 can't be averaged in. I have been working out at the gym and building strength in my arthritic hands... made a big difference... no more gun wobble. Nice not to shoot in pain or on drugs. See you at North Hollywood this Saturday. Fred

Just went to the rule book & answered my own question: "If the shooter has less than 500 targets on current year's average card, use the previous year average & known ability".
