Just watched the Senate Judiciary committee meeting on gun control. Feinstein's "assault weapons" bill exempts retired law enforcement and allows them to own banned weapons. An amendment was offered in committee that would allow retired military the same exemption. Feinstein said there is to much risk that veterans are mentally ill from stress and cannot be trusted. The amendment was defeated 9-9 with one democrat voting for the amendment.

It was the Republican Senator who offered the amendment who stated retired LEO's were exempt. However in rebuttal, Feinstein failed to embellish the limitations on the exemption.

Let's donate Feinstein to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt as a sign of good faith. They can have John Kerry too!

Why should retired cops or military veterans enjoy privileges not enjoyed by the masses?

548 the question is is why any LEO,retired or not, should have a weapon that the public can't have.

I say Feinstein is too ill to be in the Senate.

I agree, they shouldn't personally own firearms that are prohibited to the general public.

Cops are no better than the average citizen and deserve no special treatment.

I don't know about her current status, but her first husband died from cancer.
