I bought a few flats of 3 dram/1200 fps 7 1/2's. I use them for handicap. They are low recoil for me and will smoke a target if you are on it.

I did shoot one box of the handicap. I shoot a Dynakic and these black paper shells are low in recoil and high in results for me.

some friends and I tried a flat. General consensus was that even though they were a joy to shoot, they patterned a little tighter than Gold Medal papers, and once fired, didn't SMELL as good!

Pat, I shot some this summer from long yardage and loved them. Wished I could find some around here at a reasonable price. Steve

I like the 3 dr but I thought the HCP's made Win Silver Salutes feel like 1 oz loads.

I have a bag full of 1-x empties. Each one has a soft seam that runs full length of the shell but dimples in most noticably at the brass.

Can't comment on the factory load but they are not good for reloading.

    best regards

The 1250 foot handicaps I sampled were full house, but very manageable, considering the speed, and CRUSHED targets. If the price is right, they are a good deal.
