On June the 14th I ordered five flats of Gold Medals from Rogers Sporting Goods at a great price and they arrived on June 19th and I immediately sent out my rebate form and all UPC barcodes. My Federal rebate check came TODAY! WOW!!! A little over three weeks. GREAT JOB FEDERAL!!!! It will certainly be interesting to see how many people buy Remington with no rebate at the Grand!

Were you able to use the UPC from the flats or do you have to butcher the boxes?

Gotta butcher the individual boxes...pretty easy with a sharp razor knife...I got $100 back for approx. 15 minutes work...not a bad trade-off!

Yep, butcher the boxes. Curt is dead on, not hard with a razor knife.

You don't have to cut all the way through the box, just score and peel the first layer.

Federal accepted the bar codes from the flat boxes for me.
Did not touch a shell box.

I bought 5 flats and the UPC codes were glued on, so I just peeled them off and was good to go!

Hair dryer works great. Softens the adhesive and the label peels off - and can be affixed to a piece of paper.

Remington will shoot themselves in the foot if they don't participate in the shell rebate this year.

There are a lot of other shooters out there who will jump ship for a better price from either Federal or Winchester.

    Winchester AA Super Caps @ $52 VS Remington Nitro 27's @ $75??

Do the math..... What you spend for 2 Nitro 27 flats will buy 3 Winchester AA Super Handicap flats.

    Adios Remington......it's been Grand!

I've already jumped ship. I have a big enough stash of once fired Remingtin hulls to last me a good long while or at least until Remington gets with the program.

Where is a good place in the NorthWest or West to buy Fed or Win online, and then get the rebate?

I hope Federal will be offering the instant rebate at the Grand. Will stock up on them and double AA's in 3 weeks.

    Mallard2 -

I just bought 5 flats (50 boxes) of Federal gold medal 7.5 handicap from brownells for $7.49 a box. I found a free shipping code(DSR)on line. Free ship to california. Apply Federal's rebate and works out to 5.49 a box. these will be going to the Grand for handicap events!!

I have been watching Brownell but haven't seen them on sale. Currently listed at 8.99/box plastic and 9.99/box paper. I did catch the AA's on sale at Brownells for about 6.99 and got my rebate in about a month - free shipping.
