My manual actually put out by Federal itself & dated Jan 1,1986 says 22 grains of PB for 1145;23 1/2 grains for 1200;24 1/2 for 1255. This is using the Fed 209 primer which is not as hot as the 209A. I would back off .5-.7 of powder. No pressures listed only Dram Eq. Will copy the manual, send a SASE. PM me for address. Tom

Instaed of backing off with the 209a you need to use more powder. It's not like pistol or rifle reloading with a hotter primer. The loads listed since the 209a came out all require more powder with the 209a. The PB is pretty low pressure stuff anyway. You might try the listed loads and shoot them over the crony.

I bought my first PW and had it setup for Fed papers in 1969. I would throw 22 gr. of PB and I used the Fed wad & primer.
