FEDERAL 12SO WADS

    FOLKS ,
    A fellow gave me 1000 Federal 12SO wads.I load AA & STS-NITRO hulls , ( all 12 gauge ) I haven't used any yet & I don't read much about them , can I use them in the above hulls ? I'm using PROMO or RED DOT- Win 209-1 ounce of 7 1/2 or 8 shot.PW 800+ press.

    I use 12S0 wads in STS hulls for 7/8oz loads. Promo or Red Dot works fine. 17grs with an STS or W209 primer gives you about 1200fps. Wonderful load.

    There is loading data for that wad at the Alliant site. With bulky powders, you might be loading a 7/8 oz load.

    This will work well off the 16, and the price is right.

    They are perfect for 7/8 oz in small cases, I use them in Gun clubs.

    Tight fit, watch the pressure, use only established data.
