The Franklin County Sportsmen’s Club in Frankfort, Kentucky will begin registering Big 50 events on Wednesday evenings. Next Wednesday, June 6, 2012 will be our first Big 50 shoot and they will continue through October 10, 2012. With the exception of July 4, we will not be shooting registered that night as it coincides with the state shoot.

The gate will open at 3:00pm and we will shoot as squads fill up until 9:00pm. We will mainly be shooting singles and caps, but if there is enough interest we will also throw doubles.

Cost will be $10 per 50 + $1.50 ATA fee + $1.50 KTL fee for the first fifty and then $10 per 50 beyond the first.

    Please contact Joe Howard at xxxDELKEN@HOTMAIL.COMxxx (just remove the x’s) or at 5 0 2 – 6 0 0 – 1 3 3 6 if you have any questions.

Thanks Joe, for posting info on Franklin County Sportsmans Club first ever BIG 50 Promgram runnning ever Wednesday from June 6 through October 10 inclusive (except Wednesday July 4). Under Big 50 ATA rules, only 50 targets of each disciple may be registered per shooter. Three shooter minimum per discipline required to register but we have more than that ready at our club unless we have really bad weather.

In addition, we will shoot practice every Wed. for $3.75 members, $4.50 non-members and $3.00 under 17. Long Bird Jackpot (drawing) is held each Wed. Current long bird jackpot is $558.00. Shooter wins 50/30/20 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd draw. Long bird shot between 6 and 6:15 PM. Games follow, usually shooting between 6:30 and 7 PM. Shoot until 10 to 10:30 for one time $10.00 target fee and $2.00 a game with all entries paid back. Been having 7 to 12 shooters with winner calling the game. Usually Killers, Bluebirds, Pick a Buddy, Follow the leader, Bushwhacker, 10 shell Killer and anything you can think up! We also shoot Wobble games occasionally.

Good Food, A/C in clubhouse, clean restrooms, Dish TV, lots of Parking, White targets after dark, friendly people! Nice shaded pavillion with lights and fans.
Canterbury voice calls, 30 yard poured concrete walks and well kept grounds.
Come shoot with us any Wednesday for Big 50's, practice, or Games or 2nd Sat of each month for $20. hundred registered plus fees.

Two Pat Traps, one wobble throwing T-bar and radar gun set targets. One of ,if not the nicest clubhouses in the state! Call Joe or PM me for any additional info or questions.

We threw just under 12,000 targets last month! We must be doing something right, come give us a try!

Only 4 weeks left until the state shoot. Come on down and get those last minute targets you need for the state.

We are also having our usual 2nd Saturday registered shoot this weekend. Doubles start at 11:00am with singles and caps to follow!

We had 5 BIG 50 shooters at our first ever Big 50 event. Great weather and lots of fun. Shooters were Lee Wild, Joe Howard, Eugene Pulliam, David Fisher and me.

Lee and I tied on singles with 50 straight and Joe Howard led Handicap with his new old Remington 90 T. We also had 28 practice shooters and 7 games shooters.

Come on out next Wednesday evening and get your Registered targets!

Only had 4 Big 50 shooters last night but shot 300 registered targets and 63 practice rounds and the long bird. Current jackpot is $482.00. I think the heat hurt us last night as it was the first time in 10 weeks we didn't have enough games shooters to make a go of it.

Big 50 will be available this Wednesday the 27th. One of your last chances to get targets before the Kentucky State Shoot July 4-8.

Games start by 7:00PM and we shoot until 10:00 or 10:30 PM for a one time target fee of $10.00. $2.00 games with all monies paid back to shooters. I'll pay for the first $2.00 entry for anyone that hasn't shot games with us this calendar year!

We're on track to throw 10,000 plus targets this month and would love to have you join us. We are definately one of the friendliest clubs around and throw targets to ATA specs. Hope to see you Wednesday anytime from 3:00 PM on!

Hey shooters! Read the previous post carefully.

"I'll pay for the first $2.00 entry for anyone that hasn't shot games with us this calendar year!"

Eddie is making a nice offer. Hope there are some takers.

I'm feeling generous! After you pay the $10.00 games target fee for the evening, I'll pay the $2.00 entry for the first 2 games for any and all shooters that haven't shot games with us this calendar year!

Well, another record book month. We threw 10,415 targets in June. We shot 65 practice rounds, and had 5 Big 50 shooters last night. Joe Howard led Handicap with a 48 and Lee Wild and Joe tied with 49 on the doubles.

For the second time this month, the Long Bird Jackpot was broken on the third shot. This week paid $99.00 for 20% of the Jackpot. Joe Howard broke it last night while Chip Shryock did it 2 weeks ago for about the same payout. Current Long Bird jackpot stands at $399.00.

We had eight Games Shooters with two new shooters that shot the first two games on my tab.

Trap range will be closed next Wednesday for the Kentucky State Shoot but will be open again July 11 and every Wednesday after. I'll make the same offer of paying the first two $2.00 game entries July 11 for any new games shooters that haven't shot with us this calendar year!

Eddy you flinched again. I think you mean singles instead of doubles. We also were glad to have Shawn Moore shoot Big 50 with us. This was his first time registering targets. A Big FCSC Welcome to Shawn!

See you at the Ky. State Shoot.
