Yes, they still have their First and Second Amendment Rights as we have seen and heard. They just don't want you to have yours.

Still would like to know if suicides are classified as homicides. I believe not. Thanks, John

John, more info from the CDC:

"Suicide was the tenth leading cause of death for all ages in 2010.1
    • There were 38,364 suicides in 2010 in the United States--an average of 105 each day.1
    • Based on data about suicides in 16 National Violent Death Reporting System states in 2009, 33.3% of suicide decedents tested positive for alcohol, 23% for antidepressants, and 20.8% for opiates, including heroin and prescription pain killers.2
    • Suicide results in an estimated $34.6 billion in combined medical and work loss costs."

    Comment:
Substance abuse and firearms are never a good combination.

Actual stats for suicide by what means are not readily available. If anyone has recent charts/stats please post.

Thank you for your reply, RPEERLESS. FYI, my local newspaper here in SW MO will not list a cause of death as suicide (in the obituaries or elsewhere), and will not entertain their violation of Sunshine Laws (although they certainly do so when they want to make their news). John

Someone (Right wing Conservative) should post statistical charts showing day by day how the statistical percentages for gun crimes change daily by increased daily crime in the event that a madman has actually planned the statistical changes for whatever reason and hires people to carry out the statistical change.

Also include a projection of where the statistics would be by the end of the year and the next five years if the crime stats continue, to ascertain a goal statistic.

Someone in Statistics and Sales planning or projection would have an idea of how to do this based on previous years figures, current trend, just to see what is expected and what the actual is.

One might gather stats from the daily press coverage but I prefer more accurate sources.

As it is right now, as tragic and heart rendering as these statistical homicides by gun and suicides by gun are, the annual statistics do not, IMHO, right now, Sunday April 14, 2013, do not I repeat, bear out the main stream media's assumptions about linking supposed high numbers of gun deaths and so called assault rifles and other firearms as compared to other causes of death, say accidents or drug related deaths, excluding guns, in the USA.

By the way, I am not credentialed in Crime Statistics but hope that someone who is would take a good hard look at the numbers that are available and formulate an honest, professional report for the public with regard to gun deaths in the USA.
