You need a phone number to get faxes. If you dump your land line service, will you still have a phone number?

Wouldn't it be just as easy to e-mail the documents and then they can just be printed on the receiving end? ....Rick

Yes and No ... it does not matter what connection you have to the internet but you must have a phone line to fax unless you set up a internet fax type service where you can either receive faxes to your email address or faxes to a special server number which relays the fax to your account or email service.

BTW ... why get rid of the phone line to begin with? Yeah it will save you about $25 a month but what about the safety of having a phone line? Have you ever been thru a mother nature of a wallopin storm and had all your power knocked out? Well that power also provides power to the cell phone towers and those towers back-up generators dont run forever ... if your lucky enough to get through on your cell. Well if this ever does happen your regular phone line should still be working and if you care about your families safety that would be cause enough to at least keep a single phone line for your fax machine but then again you will have to keep your phone line no matter what for your home security system to contact central command in case it ever goes off ... you do care enough to have a home security system for the protection of your family right???
