Why are trapshooters so fat? Is it true you must eat your way to AA? Met a man at rhe Grand who said he lost weight and his scores went down. Look out on the field. a cardiologist's dream come true.

Skeet and sporting clays, too. The three best shooters in the world:
    Leo Harrison - trap
    George Digweed -sporting clays
    Todd Bender -skeet

    Total weight: one half ton.

Does that explain the popularity of the Fat Trap that clubs are buying at such a great rate these days?

I agree, I have recoil reduction built in.

    6ft 1 and 280 lbs.

I need to go on a diet, but I love fries and gravy, gravy, and anything bad for me.

Oh, did I mention that I like gravy?

Plus the Starlight has a lunch special which includes a cheeseburger, a coney dog, fries, and a drink for 5.35.

The waitress usually throws in the gravy for free since she knows that I tip good!

I hope they have the paddles ready for me when I flop like a fish on the floor!

You must be thinking about those midwesternerners. Out here on the left coast, we can't afford to eat like you corn-fed, pork-stuffin' fat-boys : ) it's all we can do in this economy to gather up wheel weights and stuff 'em in 37 time-fired Estate hulls and hope for the best. It's gotten so bad that when i turn sideways in the summer months, i look like a thermometer.

Most Trapshooters are not really fat, they are just too short for their weight ... I am 6'5 and should be 7'9 to carry the weight I was carrying before I lost over 40 pounds, so now I should be 7'5 instead of 6'5 ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

When the Aliens finally arrive, they will eat the fat ones first.

Most major trap shoots look like Weight Watcher conventions. In Spanish my name is El Fato As-o. I am 5'8" tall. I have a 22 inch neck, a 56 inch waist, a 58 inch chest, and my shooting jacket is a 5XL. Now, some people may think I am a shade over weight, but most of my shooting friends are catching up to me. I maintain my trap shooting shape, by eating a healthy breakfast. I start off with a loaf of toast, maybe 6 to 8 fried eggs, and a slab of nice bacon. Wash it down with a half gallon of chocolate milk and I am set until lunch time. Now I once lost 25 lbs, and I was told that losing 25lbs to me is like a deck chair falling off the Queen Mary. I am very afraid to lose weight due to having to change my stock. When I was in high school my father purchased a 3 quarter lenth over coat for me to wear over a suit. Each year with gaining a few pounds this over coat got shorter. One Sunday I wore it to my dad's house after church and he asked me where I got the Eisenhower jacket?

I've seen some trapshooters that are carrying around so many pounds of crack that they should be arrested. These people should never bend over unless their shirt is longer than the seat of their pants.

The typical build of a AA, 26 1/2 shooter:

I have lost 42lbs so far. Started at 328, trying to get to 250. My singles shooting has been up and down but I have been winning my share.
