FAIR PRICE FOR K-32 BARREL 32

What is a fair price for a 32" K-32 barrel that has Briley thin wall chokes and is ported by them as well? The barrel is in fantastic condition. Standard rib.

Do you want it for 1500.00? That is the price being asked.

The 32" Low Rib M-32 barrel is a desirable barrel. If in great shape and with a few Briley thinwalls appropriate for the sport, $1500 is not a bargain, but is not out of line.

It really depends on the end user I tend to think that the Briley chokes are a plus but the porting a negative If they wern't ported 1500 for a like new set would be in line. A local Krieghoff Dlr sold a like New set Factory choke f&F 32 inch barrel for $1500 including fitting. Take about $125 off for the barrel fitting and he paid $1375 for his and they looked unfired.joe

Some folks do not approve of porting. I cannot figure it. During SCTP state shoots, a kid will go shoot a hundred in the morning. During lunch, his Dad will take the gun to Richard Patty of Shotgun Sports, who is often an Angleport licensee, and a vendor at the shoot, and get the gun ported.

The same kid will go out and shoot the same ammo in the same gun the same day and let the world know his gun kicks less. Placebo effect? I don't think so.

I have noticed the same thing.

I do not consider a proffessionally done porting job on a gun that will be shot and is not a safe queen, to be a negative thing.

In the unlikely event I buy an unported shotgun, Richard Patty takes care of that problem.

It all depends on the intended use for the barrels. Porting does work! Porting is also a pain to clean. I know some are better than others. Most pigeon shooters won't take a gun with porting. Same for bunker shooters. The only drawback I see to porting is it doesn't look origional and makes barrel work harder. Porting also makes a gun louder when your standing next to it.
