We use Nobel Sport LR1 Low Recoil loads with some of our High School shooters.

They seem to shoot well with the 12ga 1oz. 1200fps #8 shot loads.

grntitan That load duplicates this old recoil wusseys everyday load. Great loads but there are even lower recoil loads from both Remington RLST1285 7/8oz 8.5 @ 1100 and GC1218 1oz8 @1185 plus Winchester AAL128 1oz 8 @ 1180 and the AA12FL8 26gm 8 @ 980 previously mentioned and RIO has the TLT28SUB 1oz 8 @1050

B&P makes a great load 1 oz. load that is the softest shooting round I've ever shot. They are a bit pricey, but well worth it if you are recoil sensitive.

    Cheers,

I was bored the other day so I wrote an online program to calculate the energy of the pellets with a stated muzzle velocity. Does not consider the energy of the powder/wad which also plays a part. Felt recoil has many variables but handling the energy of the shot is a main ingredient.
