1961 Winchester m-12 20 guage this gun is a build-up with a Simmons rib. The barrel is a 28 inch fixed MOD choke. The gun functions perfectly and shoots great. The gun obviously has been reblude and the corners are all still very crisp the gun was not buffed hard. The wood is amazing and is not cracked or broken anywhere. There are a few small dings and handling marks that are hard to even see. The magizine band is has turned purple from the reblue, but thats a quick fix. Feel free to email for any additional questions, or call 330-705-8757. Asking $1,250.00 plus shipping to your FFL. Thanks Josh Click on photos to enlarge<center>

I kinda think that's twice what it's worth.
But I still would not give you $550 for it as it has a Simmons Rib on it.
    Good Luck
    JMHO
sold one like it 5 years ago for $300 and I laughed all the way to the bank !

Ole theodore doesn't know his a** from a hole in the ground when it comes to model 12s. The build-up hasn't hurt the value it has enhanced it, especially since it is a 20 gauge. Whatever the value the buyer and seller will determine it not some knuckle head who doesn't know sh** about guns.

    Yours truly,
    Steve

I quess you want me to give it away thats fine, look at Gun Broker or Cabelas or anywhere for that matter. You can't touch a m-12 20 gauge with any style rib for under $1000.00 . Just so you know when you don't agree with a price your better off to not comment at all. Reason being, that now I wouldn't sell this gun to you for $3,000.00 and other people won't deal with you either. Thanks for your comment. Josh

Love joy -- you should buy it ! I've been doing so for 40 years and I cannot give away anything with a Simmons rib or Simmons barrels, they shoot nice but ain't worth a damn ... no not interested in buying it, go buy the one on gunbroker. Only one who would pay $3000 for a M12 20ga with a Simmons Rib would be the ex governor of NY, give him a call.

btw all you 'experts' I bought a Model 12 28ga build up on a 20ga frame with the correct barrel assembly for $875 .. sat in the shop for 3 years till it finally sold for $1200.00 It might fool someone, but the s/n was a few 1000 too low to be a legit 28ga

I just get a kick out of the folks who think the stuff they have is worth so much, frankly $550 is top dollar for a build-up, reblue job, too bad they had to reblue it and add the rib. Good Shooter I'll bet !

gee try to offer a little brotherly advice but all the cigar smokers chime in speaking their words of wisdom

    Like I said, lol !

would not touch it with a 10 foot pole !

no someone else will chime in, this is so much fun, just when I thought American Trap was dead and for ladies I get the correct info

    I've got a bridge for sale !
plenty of car parts and gun parts too Model 12 trigger assemblies, wood and an
original 26" ic plain barrel assembly ...

too bad I'll only sell as a lot and only to an FFL holder who is NOT a trap shooter

Wow, I quess I can't even talk in your league, with you having 40 years in the loop. Sorry to all the trap shooters for my over priced gun, it's no longer for sale.

Josh, I think ole Theodore was trying to steal your model 12 and got his fingers mashed in the cookie jar. Don't let know-it-alls get in your way, keep the 12 up for sale and see where it goes.

    Best of luck,
    Steve

    p.s. Beautiful shotgun!

Just a wild guess, but $1000 seems about right.

I guess ole 45 doesn't know how much Winchester used Simmons over the years. There's a ton of Mod 42's and 12's out there that came from Winchester with a Simmons rib. Anyway you got a nice Mod 12 there. Fairly priced, I might add an average 20ga will still fetch $600 to $800, yours is above average for sure. Woolsey

Ok since you want to push the issue I've gotta tear you a new one. Go look at his gun at the hunters den, it is priced well. Thats all I'd pay for it considering the following, the stock and forearm are manufactured in Italy by Sile and you can buy that set on ebay for $ 75.00 and it comes with that super nice hard but pad. Also the "featherlite rib" looks about as nice a a stick on poly-choke rib I can get out of Numrich gun parts for $15.00, and the whole gun minus the mag extension has a purple cast to it. Never mind the rib not having and receiver extension on it. Lastly the arrel is a 26 inch full what a bad combo. $595.00 would be a great price for it, I'd be afraid to tell the you sent me and I wanted $100.00 off, they'ed probably add $100.00 if I mentioned your name. I know my gun is worth what I'm asking, Simmons wants $375.00 just to add the quality rib and my guns a 28 mod, with wood worth about $300.00 dollars and the reblue job has not been buffed to death like your throw away gun at "the den" So I'll make you a deal Theo I sell you every part of my gun for $1.00 except the front bead, the only catch is you have to buy the bead for 1,099.00 and I can't break the set up. By the way tell Josh I sent you and I'll bet he will take $100.00 because I have connections. Love, Your Pal Josh

It really matters if you want to sell it or not-- no collectors value

I would put the value at between 450 and 750 --

    Its a shooter

    regards from Iowa
