1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

WELCHER ALERT! DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM OR SELL TO RICK BERG IN VANCOUVER, WA! WELCHER ALERT!

This guy welched on our deal. After my last contact with him to set up taking delivery, today he sends me an email that he sold it out from under me to someone locally.

Barry C Roach I know where a 311a is I think may be for sale if you are interested? I know it was suppose to be unfired and it looked that way when it was sent to me.I purchased it for my brother a few years ago and it was so nice he never took it out or shot it. I found another one that had some use and he bought it for rabbit hunting. The other one never left his house. I will ask him if he wants to part with it. Just let me know.

Model 311 was my very first gun for birds. Shot my first pheasants, ducks, and a goose with it, along with hundreds of targets! Great gun. Used it twice as an adult, when I broke my right arm, the day before duck season, I shot it one armed left handed and got my limit of mallards. Again, 25 years later just a few weeks after open heart, for pheasants. A great little gun with real "whollop" power. Those two times it was the difference in hunting or not hunting. Therefore the value went through the roof for me.

Alas, I would never sell mine, but I hope you do acquire yours. Good Luck. Really a fun gun, and so wonderful for grouse or pheasant hunting. Not bad on ducks either!

Barry C. Roach:---- Sorry to hear "Iceberg", a.k.a RICK BERG, welched on your deal. Guess for some people, their word is not their bond. There's always a bad apple in any barrel. I'm grateful that in all my dealings on TS, all sellers were true gentlemen.

Sorry for the delay on the pics. My camera is screwing up and I cant get it to work good. Here is what I have. It does have a few minor marks but nothing bad at all,my brother is a gun cleaning person and he takes them apart for cleaning and they get bumped a little once in a while.

The worst places are the top of the receiver where he scraped it against the barrels on his table. You cant feel the marks it is light. The rib just above the forend has a slight mark you can see I think in the pics. The forend has a slight mark in the finish only, There may be some other small areas on the wood but they are very small. Up around the top of the barrels is I think a couple small spots of blue gone and a dark spot in the rib just above the front sight they were there when I bought this gun for him. As I stated earlier I bought this gun about 5-7 years ago as unfired from a man off the internet, I know it has not been fired since it came in my or my brothers possesion.

If you need any other pics I will do what I can.

I might add that a few years ago the 311a was much more desireable then the 311h. I think maybe because they fit the hand better for carrying or they feel better to me anyway. I have a 5100 I hunt with and it feels better than my fox h-series.

Sorry I missed this earlier the black on the saftey is coming off, I think almost all of them do that just by touching them. Mine have anyway.
