1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

For sale is a Smith and Wesson Model 58, 41 Magnum blue steel revolver. It is a 99% revolver as the pictures show. It has no marks, dings, rust, etc. And just a very slight drag mark on the cylinder. I'll include the Kramer holster with the gun. It is new also! The gun has an "S" prefix for the serial number.

    No box or papers available!

Please check the blue book for value, and Gunbroker for reference! Price is $800.00 plus actual shipping! Not interested in any trades at this time! Thanks for the interest, Rick Gibbs

Some lucky soul got the best N frame series. Triple heat treated frame, mirror-smooth chambers, lovingly assembled by the "Old Man".

Sky buster, you really need to get into the 21st century. I know you probably aren't running down the revolver, but if you were to purchase a Blue Book, or search other auction or gun sales websites you would have seen just what guns are going for lately.

This was a very good price for this revolver, probably too cheap according to the interest I had! I never thought 2.5" 66's or model 19 revolvers would ROUTINELY sell for $600.00 and up any day of the week. There was a time not to long ago that those models could be purchased for less then $250.00 NIB.

Taurus stuff is up, cheap stuff is up, .223/.556 is up, 22 lr is going for $50.00 a brick IF it can be found and a Python under $1,200.00 is a "steal".
Where will it end, I don't know. But it will be that it is going to get a lot worse, before it gets better. If someone is looking for something in particular e.g. a S&W revolver like this in 99% (or better) made just about 50 years ago the time to buy is now really. The only way I see things getting any cheaper is a total collapse. And then something like this is worth its weight in gold or MORE. Read the book, One Second After for one of many scenarios. A friend of mine who works for Glock said that they are 1.4 million guns back ordered as of several weeks ago.

So, welcome to the 21st century, and you are welcome for the little bit of education here! Rick Gibbs

One thing is for sure - at least one guy out there thought this was a good deal. (it was)

Not exactly a common piece and no longer in production. Value as a shooter and a collector piece.

Try finding a M586 (pre lsafety lock) in 98% condition. And those were made in much great numbers than the M58.

I wasn't knocking the gun. I stand by my statement that the people
paying those kind of price's for handgun's, AR's etc. are nut's.
Excessive price's for trap gun's thankfully has not been caught up
in the buying frenzy. Colt Python's for $1,200.00 is crazy enough
and now people are paying $1,500.00 and up. To many people have
    more money than brain's.

well lets see I can buy a house for 30K watch it appreciate or at least hold its own and in return get $650 a month or people buy 50K for the sake of driving a 50k car to each his/her own

"Too many people have more money than brains."

Yeah, and those people are paying $40,000 for a vehicle that, 20 years from now, will be worth less than a quality gun bought for $1000 today.
