1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

Remington 31TC serial number 110,XXX built in 1949 has been upgraded by Walter Kolouch to a F Grade. All of the 11 gold inlays are raised, not flat. Gun is in 98-99% condition and comes with one large steel engraved release trigger and one large engraved pull aluminum trigger. Barrel is 30 inches and has been competition back bored by Ken Eyster to .741 with a choke of .711 giving you a .030 restriction. Choke has a 2 1/4 inch lead to choke then a 3/4 inch parallel section. This gun grinds up clay birds. Engraving is signed on left side of receiver by Walter Kolouch. The engraving is as nice as you will see on any gun out there. Stock has a soft touch recoil system installed and a pad adjuster, with the LOP at 14 5/8 inches. Gun comes from a good friend's collection where it has been for many years and he has ask me to sell it for him. Price of the gun is $5900 shipped in the continental U.S. Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. This gun is as nice as you will find and good 31's have become very hard to find. I promise you this gun will turn heads on the firing line.

Thanks guys, I tried to talk him out of selling it but he has made up his mind. If I shot trap I would own this gun, I love it. He let me shoot it once and it smokes birds. Not a good sporting clays gun though.

Dont know if he knows that the recoil mechanism is a big detractor- you just might want to mention that

Not sure about his expectation on price but I think he would be better off in the 2500-3500 dollar area-- assuming no barrel work and everythng is 100 percent mechanically-- and there arent going to be people standing in line at that price range

If he thinks he can get more- take it to Jaquas and ask what they "will pay me in cash for this" -- that might be an eye opener

    Nice gun

I'll probably be burned as a heretic for saying this, but it reminds me of the old saying "like putting lipstick on a pig".

Gentlemen, I appreciate all the positive comments and continue to wonder why people feel the need to try to establish a price for another person's gun. If the gun is a "pig" and overpriced no one will buy it. I happen to think K80's are club like, lousy wood, and crude engraving, but I don't go on anyone's listing and knock it. Why do some people feel that need? I can guarantee you that you won't get this engraving done by this engraver for this price. As for the recoil system, if you are going to shoot the gun you will love it, and if you want it as a collector piece you can still get another 31 stock at a very reasonable price and put it back to original dimensions. Remington 31's are great guns, made like a vault, and fun to shoot. They aren't for everyone, but then neither are Krieghoff's or "P" guns. If you don't like them feel free to look, enjoy, and move on and I will do the same when you list your K80 with plain jane wood, and crappy engraving for more money than this one. I can guarantee you one thing, this one will make a target disappear. Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

Thanks, and trust me, it will never be at the $3500 level. If it ever got to that point I would buy it just to look at!!!!!

The gun on here a while ago is of the same ilk as this one. They are both wonderful guns. My friends and I have similar guns and love them.

What happened to the serial number on the left side of the receiver of a 31 TC?

Serial numbers on left side of receiver were removed by the engraving. Numbers are still on the bottom of the receiver.

    P3AT,

I still kind of like that "wannabe" you mention and haven't totally given up on buying it. I see that he took it to Gunbroker and listed it at $3050 but had no takers so maybe we will find some middle ground yet.
