    Tammers,

Not trying to "downtrod" a thread. I, who am not a dealer, do not know the "wholesale" price as the seller listed. Please enlighten me on how to find the wholesale price of an item when you are not a wholesaler.

I didnt say that I thought this was too much at whatever he was asking....just asked if they have gone up this much.

    Thanks,
    Forrest

Cost is $799 if you can find one wholesale + $20 or so shipped to me a dealer and $25 or so shipped to you.

Listed at $799 for anyone who wants to order one shipped to there FFL and I know they are not listing wholesale pricing on the internet. Is there something special about yours that would make it more expensive than what another dealer is selling it for?

Just as another thought ... I recently bought an 1100 Sporting with a 30" barrel directly off a dealers rack for $659 and the only difference between the trap model down the rack was the monte carlo stock and the chokes. Currently the differance in MSRP is only $44 between the 2 guns but your wholesale price vs. the sold price of my 1100 is $140 which sounds a little funny to me ... I truly find it hard to believe that $799 is the a wholesale cost for that gun.

You might just want to maybe look at a different wholesaler to get your next pricing from. BTW since you took the gun in trade I really hope you didn't give him a trade in value that high or ... well ... it was your loss. ;-)))

You have to remember there are dealers like me doing 150 -200 new and used guns a year and then Gander Mountain etc , buy direct and in massive quantities and good luck getting a trade value on something . I am pretty darn fair on trades ,but thanks for the input . And yes that is pretty much the same wholesale price on most of my wholesellers or however you spell this .And maybe he has had them for awhile and needs to move some stuff .I might be doing the same .

Have you noticed that those dealers that sell at MSRP or very close to it and the ones that keep raising there prices whenever the manufacture raised the MSRP always seem to end up having the same guns over for sale?

Charge the right prices and give good service and you will have made enough money to get another gun and also made a good name for yourself so that customer will either return again or send a friend in to do business with you.

    or ...

Be overpriced and watch the customers walk out the door and hardly ever see the same people twice.

    Take your pick ...

Don't mean to be a wet rag, but the standard wholesale by Remington to dealers is $793.54.
