1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

    Is this a 300 H & H re-chambered to 300 Weatherby?

Having had both calibers, I agree that a classic firearm in a truly classic caliber has been greatly reduced in value and lost as a collectible.

I will never own another Weatherby caliber. I am looking hard at the Ruger #1 in 300 H&H.

To each his own! In my estimation he may have disturbed collectors but he created what he (or the previous owner) wanted..I have the same model conversion setting in my safe and it is perfect for that long range shooting. My rifle was from an old friend that could no longer hunt & I appreciate it more each time I use it. Not everyone is a collector..

Is my recollection correct?? Original 300 H&H rifles, Winchester put cross bolts in the stock to prevent cracking.

    Yes -- No ???

What is the barrel life of a .300 WBY?

They sure knew how to make beautiful rifle back then.
