1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Perazzi makes more than one gun. Which gun does this "repair"?

It was for a mx8 series gun, one firing pin is longer than other, beleive thats the same way as my mx2000 was. Didn't know they had a new style firing pin, when did they do that.

    Thanks,
    Andy

The older style firing pin was the bottom barrel one (RH) only. The top firing pins are the same, and, yes, the bottom one is longer because it is at more of an angle in the receiver.

The back end of the older firing pin had an angled groove on the rear end side. This was to accommodate the web in the hammer. Without the groove/web in the f/p, as the hammer fell, it would smack the side of the firing pin and eventually hog-out the rear of the receiver.

Two fixes: (1) use a replacement firing pin of the older design, or (2) grind off the web on the hammer (new hammers have no web), and then use the current model firing pin.

Your parts kit should fit all Perazzis with leaf spring fired hammers, that is, if your kit has the leafs, and not the coils.
