1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I recently bought an Ithaca 4E Knick made in 1928(the S/N is 4019XX). I do not really like the SBT gun. The 4E needs some TLC or attention(fixing) on the items listed below:

    1. The forearm has come off on occasion while I shoot. I have loosened the screws on the forearm and I believe that might fix the problem, but I do not really know.

    2. The firing pin does not always fire the shell. I see a prick or scratch on the primer. I put another shell in and the shell sometimes goes off. I think the 4E needs another firing pin.

    3. The 4E does not have an original stock and maybe the forearm is not original(I do not know) and the stock was sanded down to fit someone else.

I know the gun does fire and there are some issues with it, but if anyone is interested in owning a 4E Knick and does not mind fixing a few things on the gun, please make me an offer of cash or trade and I will be glad to get back to you with pictures. Note: I am fond of Browning Trap guns if anyone wants to make a trade.

I am just being honest and upfront before I make a deal with anyone,
    George

Can anyone fix this gun for me so that I can shoot it? What would it cost me to fix the firing pin?

Than you and I hope someone has answers out there,
    George

You can have a firing pin made no big deal maybe 15 or 20 bucks . Looking at the last picture the firing pin looks fine ??

There is a guy in New York(can't remember his name) that worked at Ithaca his whole career and he used to build the SBT's. He did work on mine and it was great job.

Is the Knickerbocker still for sale. I have a Browning Citori, trap grade 3 that I would be interested in trading or possibly a browning superposed.
    Let me know

    Thanks
