1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

My LGS has for sale a NIB never been assembled Winchester Model 37 in 16 ga. It has a couple handling marks from being in the box over the years. The barrel has a small area of box burn and is shown in a pic. It has the pig tail top lever. It has a 30" full choked barrel with a single bead. The owner's manual is included. The gun has no serial number. The owner could not find any comparable sales on this gun on any auction sites. He is asking $2,000 + shipping. Any questions or interest in this gun should be directed to Mike Fisher, owner of Houk Hardware gun store at 419-396-7900. You can also email him at the address above.

Here's a starting point (link). Anyone want to hazard a guess of the % on this beauty?

If this one is any indication, your price might be low. There's also a "comparable" 28 gauge version on there that is hoping for $3K. Good luck.

Well, that is one vote for not enough and one vote for too much?

Gary, why say you are sorry?

$6-800 if you find that certain collector. Generally speaking $5-600. You can get NIB Model 12's for less then the asking price on this M37. It was a $40 shotgun at the end of production. If the box were missing it would be a $350 gun. Strictly my opinion based on years of dabbling!!

Tell me if I am mistaken but the picture is showing a right to left break open lever. If this is correct then it is a left-handed gun. Curious minds want to know...

    My thoughts,they made more 12ga. then 20ga. then .410's then 16ga. then 28ga.
So its fairly rare,it looks like its a first year production gun,and all the paper work is there, with a matching box in pretty good shape.
Its like anything else, the right guy might snap it up and be happy,if he needs it to finish his collection.
What most guys dont realize is that these guns only sold for a few dollars apiece and when some poor farmboy saved up enough to buy one he WAS going to use it,alot for everything that ran, swam or crawled.
So while there are some very nice 37's around, not tons of NIB guns show up and when they do guys want paid.

Greg, when I talked to the seller, that was the thinking. The worth to someone that needs it is hard to determine and not sucker fishing. If you are really interested, give Mike a call and make an offer. The pig tail top lever seems to be unique. is that what is the first year tell?

Gary, since you have made this your business I will tell you that when I was taking the pics that Mike said he really didn't know what to put on it and he can always come down. As I said in the opening post, he couldn't find any comparable sales and has not ever seen a M37 in this condition, with the box and papers. It is an unused gun from a very long time ago. You can call it what you want, it is Mike's gun so he can call it what he wants.
