1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

I have on consignment a wonderful Ithaca 5E in unbelievable condition. This gun was one of the last 5E's built in 1986 and it has been kept in wonderful condition. The nice thing about these late guns is that they put wonderful stock dimensions, beautiful wood, and modern barrel bores making for a great shooting trap gun. These later guns were engraved by Bill Mains. Normally I will go into great detail about the guns I'm listing, but in this case I'm going to let the pictures do the talking for me. The specifics on this gun are, barrel length is 32", bore is .744, choke measures .706 giving you a .038 constriction. Barrel has been Pro Ported. Stock dimensions are 1 3/8 X 1 3/8 X 14 5/8. Weight of the gun is 8 pounds 8 ounces. As you can see in the pictures the top lever is way to the right and this is a one owner gun. Owner said it has been fired very little and looking at the gun I have to agree. The only thing I can find wrong with the gun is a piece of the black spacer next to the pad has chipped out (shown in right side stock picture). This can easily be replaced for minimal cost. Other than that I would say the gun is in 98-99% condition in bluing, case coloring, and stock finish. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer 5E. No haggle price of this wonderful gun is $4250 plus $50 shipping to your FFL. As always, there is a three day non-firing inspection on this gun. Contact me at esetter5@me.com with any questions you might have on this gun.

What would the price be if it wasn't ported?

For whatever reason, I can't see the pics.

Just a bunch of boxes with an X in it saying Photobucket. Right clicking to say 'show picture' does nothing.

    Frustrating.

That is as nice a 5E as i have ever seen. The porting really should have never been done. Other then that it is beautiful. Up for a great classic.

Do you still have the factory butt? The porting does hurt the price a bit. All Ithcas had a unique, original sunshine pad(recoil pad). I love the gun,but without the factory options. It is not in the condition a true collector would even look at.

Grif, That could very well be the pad it left the factory with. I dont think they were using the sunburst pad in 86. Bill

Ok here is the info on the sunburs pad direct from Walt Snyder the author of
    The Ithaca Gun company book.

About 1932 with the black base, about 1950 with the Aluminum base. Replaced in the 1960s with the Woodcock pad.

If y'all don't like the porting, I have seen a couple of Knicks with Cutts Compensators. You could cut the barrel behind the ports and install the Cutts. I have a Parker with a Cutts and it shoots great.

Drilling holes in the barrel of that grand gun should be considered a crime!
