For Sale is a Dillon Mil Spec. Primer Flipper. These are no longer offered by Dillon. It is 5 7/8" in Dia. $45.00 to your door if you live in the lower 48 states. Contact me through the PM system.
Gary I have a primer flipper tray that I recently bought from Dillon. It isn't gold in color it is black. I bought it for about $20. It isn't 5 7/8" it is only 5 3/4".
I do not understand the Mil Spec. rating as far as I know everything that is Mil Spec. is made to military Specifications. Why would there be Mil Spec. on a reloading tool????? The military as far as I know doesn't reload their ammo!!!!
Bob
Because of the cost of materials they discontinued this primer flipper and started making it smaller (Nato Spec is 5 7/8" the smaller one was 4 3/4")
The smaller one was not what people wanted, so it was discontinued and the new black larger one was made from a more cost effective material to keep it affordable.
Primer fillipers are made from basic plastic to high quailty metal materials. Just like shotguns and wood stocks, it is all about what the indivdual wants and is willing to purchase.
Thank God we live in America and can choose what we want. I would not be selling off my reloaing items but health forces me to liquidate some of my treasures. I will be listing more as I have time.
As Bob Lawless said.. Everyone USE CAUTION. You do not want to bad mouth something you DO NOT KNOW. Instead, why not ask ? Dillon first made these primer flippers in SOLID BRASS. Seems to weight 2 pounds. It is big enough to handle any primer package. Not to mention no static electricity. It will not slide around when filling the Dillon primer tubes.. Dillon switched to the black trays when the brass was to expensive to make. Good luck with your sale..
just use a empty primer tray put a few primers on it gentlely shake they will fall in place
keep adding a few more you can take your finger and move them to fall in place when you get the tray full or almost full then slide tray cover on then ready to use
I think trapen is talking about 209 primers that you have loose and putting them back in a factory package. That way you can load them into a primer tray on your shotshell reloader. This is for pistol and rifle primers.
Jim, The Flitz and the RCBS trays won't accommodate the larger primer packaging like Federal. Maybe even the Winchester and CCI......Not to mention you can shoot trap with a Used 870, but why..... Bump for a nice flipper.
