1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I love peach preserves, just bought a new weedeater, and had rather have my chicken BBQ, so just let me know.

Mod Optima+ would be about a IC in a standard barrel?

The Mod Optima is .015 constriction which is normally Light Mod, but it shoots a fairly tight pattern.

Optima+ chokes are "Mobil" chokes made for 3 1/2" Beretta 391 with an .732 barrel. They will work just fine in a standard .721-.722 Mobil choked barrel, but the choke constriction will be .010" or about one choke size less than what it is marked.

I have a double hatfull of Optima+ chokes I bought by accident.

My Optima chokes and 391 Xtrema chokes are not the same, nor is the Mobile choke. They are all diffent lengths, and thread location dimensions.

Bores in a standard 391 were .724 and the Optima Trap is .731 - .732. The Xtrema bore is .735

Mobile chokes will not be long enough to use in an Optima barrel.

Are you stating things you "know" or facts that you have measured?

Beretta Optima Plus chokes, sometimes referred to as Optima+, are externally
identical to Beretta Mobil chokes. The only differences are
    internal. Optima+ chokes
are about .010" larger in diameter in all internal dimensions. Inlet
    diameter is .740" where
a nominal Mobil is .730", choke diameter is .010" larger in an Optima+
than a Mobile choke marked as the same constriction. Net result is an
Optima+ choke used in an Mobile choke barrel will deliver a pattern apx. one
choke size larger than the marking on the Optima+ choke.

Optima+ extended choke on top, flush Mobil choke bottom.
mag410, Read my post, carefully this time. I did not mention an Optima+ tube. I was clarifying 3 basic choke tube designs by Beretta for specific guns.

I would not be telling anyone it is OK to assume one particuliar choke tube will work in multiple guns. That is asking for problems and possibly disaster.

And yes, I've owned 3 391's with mobile chokes and currently own a Optima Trap and 3 1/2" Xtrema, and yes I know how to read a bore/choke gauge.

I would be careful about confusing some of the lesser experienced on this site.

Sorry, Trapper T it appears I/we have hijacked your thread, but at least it goes back to the top.

Setterman: The choke in question is an Optima Plus. Your comment about the patterning results of your .015 Mod "Optima" chokes into the thread is what might confuse the "lesser experienced" on this site.

Optima Plus/Mobil choke will not physically fit in an Optima barrel. Using an Optima Plus choke in a Mobil choke barrel will yield the same results as screwing a Trap RemChoke into a standard Remchoke barrel, the pattern will not be as tight as the constriction marked on the choke. Nothing else.

    Usque Ad Finem.
