1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

For sale is a vintage 8' bamboo fly rod. Maker's label is worn off. Three piece, hexagonal sided with extra fly tip. Also extra bait casting tip.
This a a unique rod in the sense that the handle is reversable and can be changed to make a two piece bait casting rod with the extra bait tip attached.
Bamboo is in excellent shape with no cracks or splits. Varnish is worn in some areas. All guides original in same condition with exception of one fly tip end
missing. NOT BROKEN! Some silk wrapping loose on a couple of guides. Bamboo quite straight and not warped. Great project rod for this winter's cabin fever.
Was $125. Reduced to $95. plus $15. shipping to lower 48 states. Thank you.

Aaah, sweet memories of a long deceased Uncle and I, catching 13" crappies all day long one Easter morning many years ago. Fishing at Frye lake at Hyannis, Nebraska, we each had an 8' bamboo fly rod, and were using little white doll flies with an "ice fishing" bobber. We would cast out, and slowly bring the line in, and when the bobber began to sink, would set the hook. We each had one of those metal folding fish holders, (I forget what they were called)and stuffed each one with fish.
There was no limit in the 1960's. It was the best fishing day of my lifetime.
