I have a newly aquired Citori XT O/U. There are about eight choke tubes that came with it ranging from the stock flush fit tubes to a Carlson 1 1/2" extended tube. In combination of flush fit in one barrel and 1 1/2" extended in the other barrel would there be any detrimental effect in the pattern of the shorter tube?? I feel there should be no direct interference to the shot column but there may be a pressure wave difference from one side to the other just as shot leaves the barrel with the shorter tube. I guess I have too much time on my hands to even think about this kind of stuff but has anyone experimented with different length tubes effecting a shorter adjacent barrel? Thanks, Marc

Sporting clays shooters have done it for years. Only issue seems to be carbon staining..

Won't be a problem, but you can expect some weird looks from people.
