pretty simple, I think....as I understand it, the EC voted to allow almost all shooters (all but L code) to move up two yards if they weren't averaging at least the trigger point for their zone.

I'm in the western zone, our trigger point is 90. I average 88, I get to move up.

You can take the two yards, refuse it, or take one yard of it, as I understand it.

Go to shootata.com and scroll down to Recent News. See rules and regulations for the new catagories.

In addition to the 2 yard reduction, they also changed the rules on failure to fire on the second shot of doubles (if you miss the first shot). That is also on shootata.com

I went to the ATA site and it lists that they took 2 yards off of my yardage. Look at your yardage and see if they took anything off of your yardage.

Well, since they aren't finished yet, unless your average is over the break point, you will get the 2 yard reduction offer.

Just because it has happened yet, doesn't mean it won't happen (unless you don't meet the criteria.)

I just checked the Shooter Information Center and I see my son got the 2-yards reduced on his handicap.

Must be a pretty high breakpoint in Midwest here because he has never averaged lover than 91.4 in handicap in the 4 years he has been shooting.

Have a quick look at his last 1000 targets. I am betting his average was below the break point.

So they are not allowing you the option to accept or deny the reduction? Like the others above I noticed they automatically reduced my yardage.

Going forward an additional two yards will feel like the 16 yard line again. Is this an unoffical sandbagging?
