Supply realities have converted me to ClayDot. I don't have a lot of experience with ClayDot but so far 17.5 grains (STS, WW12SL clone wad, ww-209 and Fiocchi primers, 1 oz of shot) has worked fine in my O/U.

I've been invited to shoot Sporting Clays tomorrow and wanted to use my 1100. I noticed the pressure for that load is <8000 psi. Do you think they'll work an 1100?

I use 17.2 grains in same recipe. I also use it behind my 7/8 oz and 3/4 oz recipes with the appropriate Claybuster wads, and they all cycle in my 1100. Just make sure you start with a clean, lubed gun.

Clay Dot works fine for 1 ounce loads, but I get a lot of crushed hulls when I do 1-1/8 ounce loads, I think because of case capacity.

I have to back off one powder bushing to get it to work.

Fog, heat, and predicted thunderstorms canceled the sporting clays outing. I hope I get a chance to test fire a few of these loads before I use the 1100 again.

I use the same load with a Beretta 391. Never a cycling issue. Shot many of the same through a 1100 without any problems.

Exact data but using WW hulls and 24gm #7.5M. No issues in any autoloader. Chichay

No doubt. 17 gr. will cycle an 1100 or 391 no problem.
