Brother in law showed up for Thanksgiving dinner with a Berreta 303 Special Trap 2 barrel set. A 32" seemingly choked full or extra full, I haven't mic'd it yet, but smaller than a dime. Step rib about 1"high. The barrel along with the standard factory stamping has the following in much lighter stamping which is upside down compared to the factory stamping. Some is so faint that even with a magnifying glass it is hard to make it all out. Looks like: KGI 140 GAM 70 18.4 P5F X (in a box) and AT (in a box) above the P5F, the X in the box and the AT in the box are 4 ragged circles.
Any ideas on who might have worked on this barrel? The other barrel is a 30 inch standard rib, choked full. Thanks in advance. Mike

The KG 140 = the barrel weight in kilogram 1.4 or about 3 lb. the 70 = 70 mm. 2 3/4 inch shells and the 18.4 = bore size which is .724 dia.

Thanks. Was a high rib a option on a 303 Special Trap?

There was a Supertrap (high) rib configuration used at one time, and there was also a mid rib. I have one of each on break guns. I don't know if yours is factory but you can tell by the supports.
