I purchased some Estate shells and was wondering if they use the same wads as Federal. I would like to try and reload them once or twice and was wondering what wad to use and if they are even worth reloading. Thanks.. Ed

Use the Federal Data. So yes any wads or loads designed for the Federal hulls.

Thanks. I just ordered 10 flats of Estates from Cabelas. $51.99/case with only $2 "Total" shipping charges on the entire order of 10 flats and no sales tax. (At least where I live). Not that bad of a price.

They reload great....most of the time I reload them only once and toss. But just for thrills, I reloaded them 3 times and they still looked great and the fiber base wad appeared to be in fine shape.

Just go to the Cabelas website. I live in Arkansas and as there is no Cabelas store in the state I don't pay the state tax. Again shipping is $2 per order whether you order 1 case or 20 cases. Ed

Thanks for the heads-up. Just ordered a dozen, with my points it came to $34.90 a case. Great price for good shells.( BTW the #8- 2 3/4- 1 1/8 ) are on backorder, you can buy now at the sale price and they will deliver around April 10's. Jeff

Are Estates as good as AA's or STS's?

No, but they're pretty good for a cheaper shell. They are the same as Federal Top Gun. Only the color is different. Federal bought The Estate company out years ago and changed the base wad to paper to match the Top Gun shell.

esoxhunter, what am I missing? The listed price at Cabelas is $62.99. How do I grab the deal that you got at $51.99? Help!

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Jeff: You kind of "missed the boat". This offer was for a limited time only. I actually thought the offer ended on March 28th. However, from what I have heard it ended on the 25th. (Or maybe Cabelas due to the demand ended the offer early). I received my 10 flats last Wednesday for $51.99 plus a $2 shipping charge on the entire order. (Not on each flat). Ed

Actually now the deal is free shipping and they still have them at 51.99 so you actually "missed the boat"
