Edwards Rod and Gun is located within Edwards Air Force Base. Being a military installation there are specific rules and regulations for gaining access. With increased security at our military installations, Outdoor Recreation has worked hard to maintain access for all our ATA shooters. To presquad and to smooth the access process, leave a message with Edwards Rod and Gun Activity (661) 275-TRAP or send an email.
You will need a government issued ID (State driver's license, military ID or US Passport) to access Edwards Air Force Base. Current driver's license, car registration and proof of insurance are required to drive on Edwards AFB.
We expect over $250 worth of prizes for this event. Half the entry fee is a tax deductible donation.

What is the Combined Federal Campaign?
Established in 1961, CFC provides the only authorized workplace fund raising campaign in the Federal community.

CFC consolidates many pledges into one check, saving time and money that would have been spent on processing and tracking multiple gifts. Your gift will help replenish and maintain your charity's general fund and provide it with a steady monthly income for a year so it will have more time to plan and deliver their much needed services.

The mission of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is to support and promote philanthropy through a program that is employee focused and effective in providing all Federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

CFC supported charities focus on issues that are important to everyone. Disaster relief, care for animals and the environment, Education, medical research & services just to name a few.

CFC funds helps replenish and maintain a charity’s general fund, so they can be prepared to and have the resources to immediately respond to emergencies or disasters.

CFC provides charities with a steady monthly income for a year so they will have more time to plan and provide their much needed services.
For this event, participants may select from over 2,500 charities to specify their donation to help support.

Weather is predicted to be 85 degrees. Winds should be light in the AM picking up to 15 knots in the afternoon. Nice conditions for the desert.

Big 50 is scheduled for Thursday. Please call the range (661) 275-TRAP to be sponsored onto base. If needed we will have an escort at the West gate on Saturday. But we must know who will be coming in in order to escort. Access is not a problem when you plan ahead.
With the number of military ranges closing, this is a good chance to show Edwards leadership the support this range has and the desire to continue its operations.

Up for a great place to shoot targets!

eafbtrapper, EAFB has been registering ATA targets for 40 years, 5 months and 4 days to date. I shot my very first ATA targets there May 10, 1970! It was also EAFB's first registered ATA events!

Too bad the base no longer has a Jimmy Doolittle to visit the base and shoot, may he rest in peace.

Signups are still open. Get your name in for smoother access to the shooting facilit. Call (661) 275-TRAP or email: eafbtrapper@earthlink.net

This is our chance to demonstrate the support the shooting community has for the Base and the rest of our community. Good shoot planned with $500 in total prizes so far.

Half of the entry fee is a tax deductable charity contribution. Lunch provided. Can't beat the cost.
