As much as the advertisers of such miracle machines would love the world to believe, they can't change to laws of physics. One watt of electrical power is equal to 3.41 btu.The heat content of #2 fuel oil is approx 144,000 btu. The heat content of one gallon of LP is approx 90,000 btu. The heat content of Nat gas is approx 1,000 btu per cubic foot at 3.5" WC.

If an electric heater uses 1000 watts, you're going to get 3,410 btu and no more. It's the same amount of heat that you would get out of 10, 100 watt light bulbs.

A $10,000 1000 watt heater puts out the same amount of heat as a $39 1000 watt milkhouse heater, it will just look prettier, they will be richer, and if you buy one you will be poorer.

It's too bad that they can get by lying to the public, but the facts are facts.

no they do not work and their customer service stinks. I have one and am sorry we spent the money on the darn thing. They do help keep the heat in the room but do not circulate as they say.
