The Bay River Trap Club is looking for new members as well as visiting shooters.
We are located outside of Bayboro, NC., approximately 25 miles east of New Bern, and about 10 miles west of Oriental.

The club holds shoots every Wednesday and Friday at 10am during the summer and 1pm during the winter.

We are a very small, friendly, well established club. Currently, member fees are $3.50/round, guest fees are $4.00/round.

Our members are of every skill level so there is no intimidation with this group; just a lot of fun.

For more information, give me a call at 252-675-8689, or PM me.

    Thanks,
    John Radtke

Its a club for retirees. They only have one machine. Throw 16 yds and max cap distance is 20 yds. The trap machine is orientated facing 221 degrees-great if you like shooting into the sun. Most shooters just shoot 50 targets each day.

The Bay River Trap Club was started many years ago by retirees who moved down from up North and wanted to continue shooting.

Contrary to Phil's comments, the sun is at our backs the majority of the year, and shooters can shoot as many rounds as they would like. We do run a "two round competition" on each Friday, but again, shoot as many rounds as you would like.

This area in North Carolina is mostly a vacation area and folks travel in the vicinity of the club to go to Oriental, NC (the sailing capital of NC). The shooters that evenually discover us say that they wished they would have known about the club years ago. This is why I am posting the information.

    Thanks for reading,
    John Radtke
