from my understanding the early mt6 had a push button forearm to release it from the barrel and the later ones had a lever. Are the older ones harder to find parts for. From what I heard you can't get them anymore. The newer style they still make? Is this all true. I am just tring to make sense of it all. Thank Troy

the early type forends are very difficult to get parts for. The bbls were like a MX3 without the Boss lugs. The later Type4 guns use the standard parts for all Type4 guns and have MX8 type bbls. Everything in the action is just like the MX guns except for the hammer springs and they are like all the other trigger plate Perazzis. Perazzi does not obsolete good designs - he just gives them new names hahaha

The early MT6 has different under lug/forend iron. It doesn't interchange with any other models. Here's a picture showing the differences between an early MT6 and a later type 4.

Forend parts of the early MT6 is almost impossible to replace these days. You'll need a good gunsmith to get it fixed if you break something.
