1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Barrel date code ZZ indicates 1953. The serial number is an early one too.
Nice gun and good price, IMO.

Thanks Wayneo!! The early 870s point so much better and feel lighter too. I thought about keeping this one and making a riot model out of it. Could not bring myself to cut the barrel of such a nice gun.

Oh please don't even think about cutting that bbl, your pics show that it is indeed an early model with the square shoulder instead of the taper of the later ones. Have you checked the bolt-bbl locking lug to see if they are original, as they are different also, I think those early production ones have more hand "tuning" than later ones as they were (are) slicker actions.
