    ...Dupont 5066 Powder...

Does anyone have any reloading information on Dupont 5066 powder or know where I can find such information. Hodgdon doesn't have anything on it. Thanks for any help. Dave Inman Email above secretly altered.

Sir----1962 Speer Loading Manual,"Du Pont 5066 does its best work in .45ACP.It is widely used by target shooters in most pistol calibers."

These loads are from a Lyman manual(1955)

    .357 148gr cast bullet,4.0gr 5066

    .41 Long Colt,196gr cast bullet,4.1 gr 5066

    .45ACP,200gr cast bullet,6.6gr 5066

    Hope the information is useful

My powder of choice in the early 60's. It replaced Pistol #6. What are you loading?

A friend of mine recently bought a box full of it. Stored properly, no one knows how long smokeless powder will last. It smells like it was made yesterday.

What caliber are we talking about?

I just recently became the owner of 6ea. 4 lb cans in the factory shipping boxes with Jan. 22 1967 Kansas City Star newspaper packing around them. I reload most of the more common handguns and rifles as well as shotguns and was trying to find loading information on 5066 dupont powder. I reload for 9mm 38 357 40s&w 44 45. Thanks, Dave Inman
