I was wondering how you go about drilling a blank for a stock bolt. Any stock maker have any info?

    Thanks,

I've done it a few times using my metal lathe. Center punch where you want to start and where you want it to come out. Put a dead center in the tail stock, and drill bit in the head stock. Put the butt area against the drill bit and the dead center in the tail stock against the point where you want it to come out. Start with a smaller bit. Turn on the lathe and apply pressure using the tail stock.
