Hello everyone. I was wondering if people use the downrage xl and greendot with either a winchester or cheddite primer? And what are your recipes?

tuscy... most all of the powder companies have listed loads for what your asking, search the Hodgdon, Alliant web pages. You'll find enough info to keep you busy..

Do what BigM said, and use the data for Winchester WAA12SL wads (if you are using the Jammer XL-1 or the neon green XL-1.)

I use the XL-1 1 oz. wad in the old style AA hull,They do not fit well in the 2 piece HS hull,I use 19.5 to 20.3 grains of green dot and the data shows 1235fps for 19.5.It doesn't burn cleanly but I shot a 97 from the 20yd line using the 19.5 load with W209 primers. You will need 20.3 in the STS hull to get the same results.Hope this helps! tuscarora99.... Are you talking about the blue 11/8oz wads or the purple Jammer XL 8 petal 1oz. wad? I reload the blue XL with 21gr. Green Dot, Cheddite primer, STS hull, and 11/8oz 71/2 shot. Works great for me, and this load brings about 1220fps to the table through my DB81 barrel..... Dan Thome (Trap2)

I'm using 2pc AA hulls(yes they get stuck on the lip most of the time) Win W209 Primer, 17gr Clays, Downrange XL(blue) 1 1/8 of 8.5 Eagle. Modified Choke. Smokes the targets. Dave T.

I have been shooting the dark blue DRXL1 1,1/8 with 18.8 grains of green dot I figure around 1190 give or take a little according to the WAA12 recipe and they seem to shoot quite well.
